Abstract:
A battery system may comprise: multiple battery packs; multiple first relays connected between a first contact and the positive electrode of a corresponding battery pack with respect to each of the multiple packs; multiple second relays connected between a second contact and the negative electrode of a corresponding battery pack with respect to each of the multiple packs; a capacitor having both ends connected between a first wire connected to the first contact and a second wire connected to the second contact; a resistor and a switch which are connected in series between the first wire and the second wire; and multiple pack battery management systems (BMSs) for, after waking up, controlling the multiple first relays and the multiple second relays to be closed, and then if a current flowing from the multiple battery packs to the capacitor is detected, determining that the multiple first relays and the multiple second relays are normal.
