Abstract:
A module control unit (51) of a battery system (101) selects, upon detection of an abnormality in a battery module (13A), the battery module (13A) without turning off the battery module (13A), subsequently compares a total value of rated current of all of battery modules (13B, 13C) which are normal and supply power to a load (31) with a current value of current supplied to the load (31), and, if the current value of the current supplied to the load (31) is greater than the total value of the rated current of the battery modules (13B, 13C), performs a control to turn off all of the battery modules (13A, 13B, 13C), and, if the current value of the current supplied to the load (31) is less than or equal to the total value of the rated current of all of the battery modules (13B, 13C) which supply power to the load (31), performs a control to turn off the battery module (13A) having the abnormality and not to turn off the battery modules (13B, 13C) which are normal.
