Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to ensure a storage battery to remain serviceable throughout a target service lifespan thereof. To accomplish this purpose, a representative battery system according to the present invention is provided with: a battery that can be used repeatedly; a battery control unit that controls the service lifespan of the battery by putting constraints on battery use conditions involved in battery life deterioration; an estimation unit that calculates an estimated length of battery service lifespan obtained by constraining battery use conditions; and a restriction unit that, on the basis of the estimated lifespan thus calculated, determines a length of deficient service lifespan by which the battery falls short of the target service lifespan, and resets the battery use conditions for the battery control unit by imposing restrictions so as to reduce the deficient service lifespan.
