Abstract:
A decompressed refrigerant is fed partway along a passage extending from downstream of an evaporator (15) to upstream of an accumulator (16), from partway along a passage extending from a discharge port (12a) of a compressor (12) to upstream of the evaporator (15), through an introduction passage (24). The refrigerant in the accumulator (16) is heated, and the saturated steam pressure at the outlet (16b) of the accumulator (16) increases. Due to the thermodynamic properties of the refrigerant, the saturated steam temperature, which is the temperature of the gas refrigerant at the outlet (16b) of the accumulator (16) increases, and an isothermal line in the two-phase region (A1) of the refrigerant rises. Heat is exchanged, via the evaporator (15), between the gas refrigerant flowing through the evaporator (15) and a battery module (M1), and the gas module (M1) is warmed by condensation latent heat of the change of the gas refrigerant into a liquid refrigerant. The temperature of the refrigerant is caused to follow an isothermal line, making the temperature of the refrigerant constant. The temperature difference between the refrigerant and the battery module (M1) is thereby maintained, and the entire battery module (M1) is uniformly warmed.
