Abstract:
Disclosed are a battery transfer device for transferring batteries of an electric vehicle and an operation method for the battery transfer device. The operation method for a battery transfer device of the present invention comprises the steps of: by sensing batteries mounted in a plurality of battery storage means included in the battery transfer device, acquiring state information that indicates the current states of the battery storage means having the sensed batteries mounted therein; controlling, on the basis of the state information, the state of each of the battery storage means on the basis of a state maintenance means that is included in the battery transfer device, so as to maintain states of the plurality of batteries at preset states; determining, in response to a request of use for at least one battery among the plurality of batteries mounted in the plurality of battery storage means, at least one battery suitable for use among the plurality of batteries; and controlling the at least one determined battery to support supply of power on the basis of the at least one battery determined in response to the request of use.
