Abstract:
Provided is a bead-holding device used in a two-stage molding machine provided with a holder for a ring-shaped bead. Ball plungers, which press and hold a bead with an internal diameter 0.4-1.7 mm larger than the external diameter of the bead holder from the internal diameter side of the bead with a load of 1 N to 4 N, are disposed at six to twelve points of the bead holder. The bead holding device is able to reduce wide variations in cord path while using the same bead holder for multiple kinds of beads without generating bead omissions or setting failures.
