Abstract:
Disclosed is a beam index map-based intelligent reflecting surface communication beam selection method, comprising: acquiring optimal beam pair information of a base station end and an intelligent reflecting surface end corresponding to each user location, and constructing and updating in a timely manner an optimal beam index map on the basis of a user end location; when the base station end communicates with a user by means of the intelligent reflecting surface, the user end acquiring a real-time geographic location by means of a variety of positioning means, acquiring a set of candidate beam pairs via the constructed beam index map, and directly performing beam selection or performing real-time beam scanning on the set of candidate beam pairs according to a number of times different beam pairs appear, so as to implement channel training-free or light channel training intelligent reflecting surface communication beam selection. The present invention solves problems such as high difficulty in communication channel estimation for an intelligent reflecting surface, high training overhead in a conventional beam scanning method, and a tedious training process, thereby simplifying a real-time beam selection process and greatly improving an effective communication rate.
