Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a beam transport system which is capable of enabling chromatic aberration of a beam at an irradiation position of the beam to be nearly zero even when the beam is emitted from a small synchrotron. According to this beam transport system (4), an optical parameter calculation device (17) calculates a starting point momentum dispersion function which is a momentum dispersion function (η, η') of a charged particle beam (31) at a design starting point (S) of the beam transport system (4) set on a beam orbit of an accelerator (3) on the basis of a beam time variation related quantity which is a time variation amount of a beam position or a beam diameter in a beam profile monitor (11) calculated by a beam analysis device (14), and calculates an optical parameter in which the starting point momentum dispersion function and an original condition at an irradiation position (T) at which profile data was detected are initial conditions.
