Abstract:
A bearing device for a wheel, capable of bearing a high load and having extended
service life without increasing the size and weight of the device. The bearing
device includes an outer member (1) having, on its inner periphery, double-row
raceway surfaces (3), an inner member (2) having, on its outer periphery, raceway
surfaces (4) facing the raceway surfaces (3), and double-row rolling bodies
(5) interposed between the raceway surfaces (3, 4). The rolling bodies (5) are
conical rollers, the raceway surfaces (3, 4) are conical surfaces arranged back
to back, and the length (B) of the rolling bodies (5) on the inboard side is set greater
than the length (A) of the rolling bodies (5) on the outboard side.
