Abstract:
This variable capacity turbocharger 1 is provided with multiple nozzle vanes 21 which are provided in the nozzle 13 of a turbine 2 so as to allow opening and closing the same, a link mechanism 22 which is linked to the multiple nozzle vanes, a mechanism chamber 23 which is formed inside of a turbine housing 4 and which houses the link mechanism, a bearing 24 which is provided in the turbine housing and which allows communication between the mechanism chamber and outside of the turbine housing, and an operation shaft 25 which is rotatably provided inside the bearing and which is connected at one end to the link mechanism. This bearing rust prevention device for a variable capacity turbocharger is provided with a gas supply device 50 which is configured to supply pressure gas from outside of the turbine towards contact areas 43, 44 between the bearing and the operation shaft.
