Abstract:
A bearing state monitoring device monitors the state of a thrust bearing that holds a rotation axis in a thrust direction. The bearing state monitoring device comprises a first temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the thrust bearing, and a computing device that counts the number of times of that an evaluation index relating to a thrust load based on measurement values of the first temperature sensor has exceeded a permissible value, and outputs that there is an abnormality in the state of the thrust bearing in a case where the number of times counted exceeds a threshold value. Note that the computing device may count only cases where a state of the thrust load exceeding an upper limit load continues for a predetermined amount of time or longer, as the number of times.
