Abstract:
A spring wire rod having improved toughness and corrosion fatigue properties is disclosed. The disclosed wire rod comprises, by wt%, 0.4-0.7% of C, 1.2-2.3% of Si, 0.2-0.8% of Mn, 0.2-0.8% of Cr, and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities, and has a grain size of 13.2 ㎛ or lower and a Charpy impact energy of 38 J/㎠ or higher.
