Abstract:

A bed apparatus, which is equipped with a mattress mounted on top of a bed main body, and first cells provided to the left and right sides of the bed main body along the length direction, adjusts the body position of a patient on the mattress by alternately supplying air to the first cells. The bed apparatus is characterized in that: if the pressure difference between the left-and-right side first cells continues to be within a determined pressure value range for a determined pressure value continuation time when air is supplied to the left-and-right side first cells, the body position of the patient is adjusted; and if the pressure difference between the left-and-right side first cells does not continue to be within a determined pressure value range for a determined pressure value continuation time, or, continues to be outside a determined pressure value range for a determined pressure value continuation time when air is supplied to the left-and-right side first cells, the body position of the patient is not adjusted. As a result, a bed apparatus or the like for preventing patients from falling therefrom by detecting the lying position of the patient before adjusting the body position of the patient can be provided.
