Abstract:
A bed for preventing bed sores, having inflatable air bag bodies (1) arranged
in parallel with each other in the lateral direction of the bed, air supply/discharge
means (2) for supplying and discharging compressed air from the air bag bodies
(1) at each predetermined time interval (t) to inflate and deflate the air bag
bodies (1), and control means (3) for controlling the air supply/discharge means
(2). The air bag bodies (1) are formed to have a circular columnar shape when inflated
and are constructed so that that portion of a cared person (A) where a bed sore is
likely to appear is lifted and lowered at each predetermined time interval (t).
Also, the air bag bodies (1) are each provided with a blood circulation promotion
section (4) formed by using a material that promotes blood circulation of the
cared person (A). The blood circulation promotion section (4) promotes blood
circulation of the cared person confined to the bed to remove muscle stiffness
and prevents bed sores.
