1. The principle of operation is programmed and controlled vertical movements of the bed, mattress with different amplitude and frequency in order to: calm and lull a person who is on the bed, wake a person in the morning by moving the bed, mattress up and down.

2. Bed legs with a built-in linear electric motor (an electric motor in which one of the elements of the magnetic system is open and has a deployed winding that creates a magnetic field, and the other interacts with it and is made in the form of a guide that provides linear movement of the moving part of the engine) which changes the height of the legs. During the operation of these legs, the bed moves up and down relative to the floor, creating controlled vertical vibrations in accordance with the specified parameters.

3. A mattress with a mechanism of legs located in the inner part (the number is not of fundamental importance) with a built-in linear electric motor (an electric motor in which one of the elements of the magnetic system is open and has an unfolded winding that creates a magnetic field, and the other interacts with it and is made in in the form of a guide that provides linear movement of the movable part of the motor) that change the height and, during synchronous operation, create controlled movements so that the upper part of the mattress moves vertically to the lower part, that is, the height of the mattress changes in accordance with the specified parameters.

4. "Transitional fasteners" - additional fasteners made of a metal profile, which are used for mounting the legs not at the edge of the bed, but with a recess towards the center of the bed. The legs of the bed are attached to "transitional mounts", which in turn are attached to the supporting element of the bed frame or headboards.

Description:
BED

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] We spend almost a third of our lives in sleep! If a person lives 78 years, then almost 25 of them he sleeps!

[0002] Sleep disorders are the inability of a person to fall asleep, early night awakenings, sleep disturbances or poor sleep quality for quite a long time. According to WHO statistics, about 30% of adults suffer from this disorder. Most often, this disorder occurs in women and the elderly, but in recent years, an increasing number of young people are suffering from sleep disorders. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has called insomnia the epidemic of the new millennium.

[0003] Meta-analytical studies show that sleep deprivation significantly slows down work, mainly due to worsening mood and negative effects. Sleep deprivation harms performance, productivity, career development and satisfaction, and increases the likelihood of work accidents, absenteeism and counterproductive behavior. Conversely, better sleep is associated with improved memory, knowledge acquisition, and learning. Sleep is very important for the immune system, so even minor disturbances make the body more susceptible to infectious diseases.

[0004] In the morning, the human body needs time to switch from sleep to work. Rapid and abrupt awakening has an extremely negative effect on the mood and state of human health. Especially experts prohibit abruptly waking up children, because such rash actions can lead to various disorders in the children's body. Ways to prevent sleep are varied, but not always effective.

[0005] There is a way to deal with sleep disorders inherent in the human body at birth, which is currently little used in practice, and even more so in everyday life. [0006] Throughout the prenatal period until the moment of birth, the baby grows and develops inside the uterus. It is surrounded by amniotic fluid, which literally hugs and envelops it, creating a feeling of constant slow and smooth motion sickness. Perhaps this explains why people fall asleep with motion sickness. The use of motion sickness to calm sleep belongs to our repertoire of adaptive behaviors, in which the natural mechanism of sleep (thalamocortical synchronization) has been used in the simplest way since time immemorial.

[0007] Beds with the effect of oscillation of a bed in a horizontal direction or on the principle of a rocking chair exist, but in practice they are practically not used. Oscillations that promote sleep in the horizontal direction create inconvenience in domestic use and are used mainly in childhood (cradle) or in experiments with sleep.

BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0008] A person spends an average of 7 hours a day sleeping, and comfortable conditions for sleeping, falling asleep and waking up are very important. In domestic conditions, the use of drugs is not desirable, and this invention promotes healthy sleep and can be used at all its stages (falling asleep, sleeping, waking up).

[0009] Vertical movements of the bed (or mattress) up and down with rhythm will help the person transition to sleep. Such fluctuations, depending on the rhythm and amplitude, can be used at all stages of sleep, including for awakening.

[0010] The same vibrations that help a person to fall asleep will be an effective way to wake a person from sleep. The slow start of moving up, down with gradually increasing frequency and amplitude will wake a person from the state of the deepest sleep.

[0011] Due to translational movements up and down, with different amplitude and frequency, it is possible to influence a person in all stages of sleep. [0012] The principle of operation is programmed and controlled vertical vibrations of the bed, mattress with different amplitude and frequency. The amplitude and frequency of oscillations change depending on the given parameters.

[0013] The mechanism is installed underthe base of the bed. Four legs are installed (it is possible to use a different number of legs 3, 5, etc.), a linear electric motor is mounted in each leg (an electric motor in which one of the elements of the magnetic system is open and has a deployed winding that creates a magnetic field, and the other interacts with it and is made in the form of a guide that provides linear movement of the moving part of the engine). The linear motor does not create additional noise during operation, which is a mandatory criterion for healthy sleep. All leg motors are connected to a single control unit for synchronous movement.

[0014] The control unit for the movement of the legs, which regulates the speed, frequency of oscillation, etc., can be mounted under the base of the bed or built into one of the legs. The control unit has its own basic programs, and can also be connected via wi-fi (via the Internet), bluetooth to the owner's smartphone. The control unit includes a current converter for connection to a conventional household electricity source.

[0015] From a smartphone (or a programmed time program) from a special program, the owner can control the speed and tact of moving the bed, mattress up and down. Voice control is possible.

[0016] As a result of these movements, you can:

[0017] - calm and lull the person on the bed with a smooth move;

[0018] - wake a person in the morning by moving the bed up and down, and this can be done both in time and remotely via a smartphone;

[0019] - possible movements to the beat of music for the purpose of entertainment, etc.

[0020] In the US, it is customary to use not one mattress, but two or more. In such a situation, it is possible to install the vertical oscillation mechanism directly into the mattress. [0021] The principle of its operation will be similar to that described above, only the mechanism itself from the legs with a built-in linear electric motor will be located in the inner part of the mattress.

[0022] Many types of beds with the effect of oscillation have been developed, but all of them are of little use in domestic conditions. Beds or additional mechanisms currently produced have oscillations in the horizontal direction, which requires special fastening of the mattress, blanket or bed railing, takes up additional space (it is impossible to install furniture next to the bed). All sway beds or rocking beds that exist today make quite a lot of noise during operation and have physical wear and tear with prolonged daily use. Beds built with a conventional motion-converting electric motor are very noisy and require constant lubrication, but the lubrication attracts dust and debris.

[0023] The present invention provides for operation in normal household conditions, does not require additional space around the bed, does not make noise during operation, does not require additional maintenance of the mechanism in the form of replacement of wear parts and lubrication, the design of the existing bed can remain the same.

OBJECT AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0024] The present invention is designed to combat the epidemic of the new millennium - insomnia. The invention promotes sleep at all its stages: falling asleep, sleeping, awakening. With the help of this invention, a person has the opportunity to promote sleep in domestic conditions (at home). Namely, with the help of rocking movements that cause sleep, you fall asleep faster, sleep better and wake up on time. All previously created inventions using motion sickness for sleep had major drawbacks and were not widely used. They were very difficult to use at home, they made a lot of noise during operation, and their appearance was more like a hospital bed, which did not cause a desire to install such a bed at home. The present invention solves these three problems. The vertical movement of the bed does not require additional space in the room. Next to the bed you can install pieces of furniture, they will not interfere with the operation of the present invention. Linear electric motors operate almost silently and do not require additional maintenance in the form of replacement of wear parts and lubrication. The design of the bed can remain unchanged, and in some cases the bed itself can be left, the mechanism will be installed under the bed base. The legs of the bed base can be mounted not at the edge, but with a recess towards the center of the bed, with such an installation, when looking at the bed (not at an acute angle), the mechanism will not be visible. Also, the vertical movement mechanism can be mounted directly into the mattress, changing the height of the mattress.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

[0035] The present invention can be used in residential buildings and hotel complexes. Installation of the invention does not require additional space in the room. The design of the bed can remain unchanged, in some cases, you can leave the old bed, and install the mechanism under the bed base. The legs can be mounted not at the edge of the bed base, but with a recess towards the center of the bed, with such mounting, when looking at the bed (not at an acute angle), the mechanism will not be visible. The bed can be used in modern interiors when installing legs with a recess to the center of the bed, the legs will not be visible and when the bed moves, it will give the impression that it does not touch the floor. You can complement the effect of "flight" with light illumination at the bottom of the bed. When using the vertical movement mechanism built into the mattress, it may only be necessary to replace the mattress and connect the power supply.

[0036] The use of the invention in a bed installed in a hotel room will help a person get used to sleeping in an unfamiliar place, since oscillatory movements will relieve stress. And if a person has a bed with such an invention installed at home, he can use his motion sickness rhythm on a hotel bed via a smartphone.

[0037] It is possible to use the invention in hospital wards in conjunction with a variety of medical equipment, but this requires additional research.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0038] A person spends a significant part of his life in a dream and comfortable conditions for sleep are very important. Good sleep helps to strengthen memory, maintain concentration, cell renewal, remove toxins and excess fat cells, reduce stress, unload the psyche, produce melatonin (a hormone that regulates circadian rhythms and strengthens the immune system). Motion sickness sleep can be used for health purposes, including reducing stress levels, improving memory, and longevity. The present invention promotes sleep and can be used in all its stages (falling asleep, sleeping, waking up). Due to progressive movements up and down, it is possible to influence a person in all stages of sleep and promote deep sleep and timely and correct awakening. [0039] The principle of operation is the controlled vertical movement of the bed 101, mattress

106 with different amplitude and frequency. The amplitude and frequency of oscillations change depending on the given parameters.

[0040] Under bed base 102 as in FIG. 2, four legs 103 are installed, it is possible to use a different number of legs 3, 5, etc. depending on the load and design, but in our drawings we will start from four legs. A linear electric motor is installed in each leg 103 (an electric motor in which one of the elements of the magnetic system is open and has a deployed winding that creates a magnetic field, and the other interacts with it and is made in the form of a guide that provides linear movement of the moving part of the motor). Leg 103 with built-in linear motor can change the height of the base of the bed 102 relative to the floor without additional sound. The lifting height of the bed base 102, with the help of legs 103 with a built-in linear electric motor, can be different, it is marked L on the diagrams, but the oscillation of the bed 101 with an amplitude of 5 cm will be enough to get a motion sickness effect. For entertainment purposes, the amplitude (change in the height L of the leg 103) can be any, and the legs 103 themselves can move not synchronously, but each according to its own program.

[0041] Leg control 103 as in FIG. 3 is carried out by a single control unit 104 for synchronizing oscillatory movements in accordance with a given program. The control unit 104 of the movement of the legs 103, regulates the speed, frequency of oscillation, smoothness of movement. The unit 104 itself can be mounted under the base of the bed 102 or built into one of the legs 103. The location of the control unit 104 does not matter, in our figure it is installed under the base of the bed 102. When mounting the unit 104 under the base of the bed 102, the unit itself is not visible, but access to it is free.

[0042] The control unit 104 has its own basic programs, and can also be connected via wi-fi (via the Internet), bluetooth to the owner's smartphone. The control unit 104 includes a current converter for connection to a conventional household electricity source. [0043] From a smartphone (or a programmed time program) from a special program, the owner can control the speed and tact of moving the bed 101 up and down. Voice control is possible.

[0044] As a result of these movements, you can:

[0045] - calm and lull a person on bed 101 with a smooth move;

[0046] - wake a person in the morning by moving the bed 101 up and down, and this can be done both in time and remotely via a smartphone;

[0047] - it is possible to program the rhythm and amplitude to the needs of a particular person;

[0048] - possible movements to the beat of music for the purpose of entertainment, etc.

[0049] In the United States, it is customary to use at home not one mattress, but two or more. In such a situation, it is possible to install the vertical oscillation mechanism directly into the mattress 106 as in FIG. 4, FIG. 5.

[0050] The principle of its operation will be similar to that described above, only the mechanism of the legs 105 with a built-in linear electric motor will be located in the inner part of the mattress 106. Controlled vertical movement of the surface of the mattress 106 with different amplitude and frequency will be created by changing the height of the legs 105 in accordance with the specified parameters. In the maximum lowered state, the height of the mattress 106 will be H, and in the maximum raised state, the height of the mattress will be H + L. That is, the maximum height of the surface of the mattress 106 will be L. When the device is operating, the height L will depend on the specified parameters.

[0051] When installing legs 103 with integrated linear motors in an existing bed 101 as in FIG. 6 would require "adapter fixtures" 107. Installing legs directly into most existing beds is not possible, as the design of the beds does not provide space for attaching additional legs of the present invention. [0052] If the bed design 101 as in FIG. 6 FIG. 7 provides for the bed frame 108 as a supporting element, then the "transitional fasteners" 107, consisting of a frame (metal profile) with a variable length (pipe-in-pipe principle) are attached directly to the bed frame 108 in places 200 indicated in the figure, and in the lower part of the "transitional fastener" 107 the legs 103 of the present invention are attached. The principle of fastening the "transitional fastening" 107 to the bed frame 108 at the intersections 200 can be the most diverse on bolts, studs, rivets, self-tapping screws, etc., using additional support angles, plates.

[0053] If the bed design 101 as in FIG. 8 FIG. 9 FIG. 10 provides for the bearing element of the headboard 109, then the "transitional fasteners" 107, consisting of a frame (metal profile) with a variable length (pipe-in-pipe principle) are attached directly to the headboards 109 in places 200 indicated in the figure, and in the lower part of the "transitional fastener" 107 the legs 103 of the present invention are attached. The slats 110 of the bed 101 should not touch the "transitional fastening" 107. The principle of fastening the "transitional fastening" 107 to the backs of the bed 109 at the intersections 200 can be the most diverse for bolts, studs, rivets, self-tapping screws, etc., with the use of additional.

[0054] The present invention solves the problems existing in the swing effect beds currently produced and makes it possible to apply the invention on a large scale in the home and hotel complex.
