Abstract:
The inventive beehive for the fall/winter housing of bees comprises a cylindrical roof provided with a ventilation groove, an under-roof, a ceiling provided with through holes, a cradle, nest and bottom bodies and a spacer arranged therebetween. Honeycomb frames are arranged on the cradle in the nest body which is provided with a main and additional entrance, a plug and a clearance adjuster between the roof and the end of the under-roof. The plug is arranged on the ceiling in such a way that it can close the holes thereof. Said beehive for the fall/winter housing of bees is also provided with an additional nest body, an additional cradle and a plate which is mounted on the spacer and separates the volumes of the nest and bottom bodies. The inventive method for the fall/winter housing of bees consists in seasonably forming a bee-family using a beehive which is provided with cylindrical nest bodies. During the seasons of year, said nest bodies are rotated. For the fall/winter period, the top nest body is taken out of the beehive, and the honeycomb frames containing food are arranged in the remaining nest body. A space is formed between the lower ends of the honeycomb frames and the bottom of said body by removing the separating plate. The plug being mounted on the sealing, the dimensions of the holes for the fall/winter period are defined. The fall/winter period being over, the nest body containing the overwintered bee-family is lifted, the second nest body is arranged thereunder on the bottom body and connected thereto. The separating plate being arranged on the spacer and the plug being removed from the ceiling, the space between the roof and the end of the under-roof is adjusted for the spring-summer period.
