Title:
BENDING ANGLE DETECTOR FOR BENDING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1994/011701
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The bending angle of a work can be measured with a high precision even if the material of the work is different in bending works by a bending machine. From the image of each point of a cubic lattice virtually formed in a space, the coordinate transformation parameters between the spatial coordinate system whose axes are the sides of the cubic lattice and the plane coordinate system of the imaging surface of a camera, and a linear equation are obtained in the spatial coordinate system of the spotlight which is obtainable by projecting the spotlight on the outer surface of the work which has been bent. Thus, with these coordinate transformation parameters and the linear equation for the spotlight, the spatial coordinates of the three luminance spots formed on the outer surface of the bent work by the three spotlights from three projectors are obtained thereby to establish an equation of plane containing these three points. It is possible to use two slit-shaped beams of light instead of the three spotlights.
