Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a polyester film which has excellent cold formability and can suppress the occurrence of springback and curling after forming. [Solution] This biaxially oriented polyester film comprises, as main components, a terephthalic acid and an ethylene glycol, and has: a puncture strength of 0.45 N/μm to 0.80 N/μm; a thermal shrinkage rate at 150 °C of at most 2.5% in both MD and TD directions; a dynamic friction coefficient μd between at least one side of the film and a metal plate of 0.10 to 0.50; and a stress relaxation rate (%), represented by equation (1), stress relaxation rate (%)=100×(σ0-σ1)/σ0, of at least 15.0% in both the MD and TD directions, in a tensile stress relaxation test at 25 °C.
