Abstract:
A peptide dimer composed of a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence represented by any one of SEQ ID NOs: 2 to 4, wherein cysteine residues respectively present in the peptides are bound to each other through a disulfide bond. The peptide dimer can be used as an active ingredient for a proliferation promoter for a bacterium selected from Bifidobacterium infantis and Bifidobacterium breve.
