Abstract:
A BIM model lightening method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a BIM model so as to separate structure shape information from meta information about constituent elements of the structure; extracting, from the separated-out structure shape information, a vertex set in information about a mesh constituting the surface of the structure shape; generating a new vertex set according to lightweight values on the basis of the extracted vertex set; and using the generated new vertex set so as to form a triangular mesh, thereby outputting a lightened BIM model, wherein the step of extracting the vertex set comprises the steps of: separating the structure shape into three-dimensional figure objects and recognizing same in the separated-out structure shape information; and individually extracting a vertex set for each of the three-dimensional figure objects, a new vertex set for each of the three-dimensional figure objects is generated in the step of generating the new vertex set, and the new vertex set is generated according to the lightweight values determined on the basis of the three-dimensional figure type of the three-dimensional figure objects and the extracted number of vertices. Therefore, a match rate higher than that of the original model can be exhibited while data is efficiently compressed through optimum BIM model lightening.
