Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a binder for secondary batteries, which has both excellent adhesion to a collector and excellent flexibility; and an electrode mixture for secondary batteries. The present invention is a binder for secondary batteries, which is characterized by containing a fluorine-containing polymer that has a polymerization unit based on vinylidene fluoride, a polymerization unit based on tetrafluoroethylene and a polymerization unit based on a monomer (2-2) represented by general formula (2-2). R5R6C=CR7R8CO2Y1 (2-2) (In the formula, each of R5, R6 and R7 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1-8 carbon atoms; R8 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1-8 carbon atoms; and Y1 represents an inorganic cation and/or an organic cation.)
