Abstract:
A binocular kaleidoscope having a V-shaped housing (10) with an opening (12) at the base (11) of the housing and two arms (13, 14) of the V-shaped housing being hollow tubes diverging from the opening. The longitudinal axes of both arms (13, 14) pass through the opening (12). A moveable image (24) is adjacent to the base opening. The image (24) is directly viewable through the opening when looking along the lenght of each of the arms of the housing (10), so that when both eyes of a person using the kaleidoscope are brought close to the free ends (17, 18) of the hollow arms of the housing, the moveable image is viewed directly and stimultaneously by both eyes. The image is both front and back lit. Telescoping extensions (15, 16) are provided for the arms. A support (21) mounted on the housing supports a shaft (22) for bearing the image.
