Abstract:

Provided are a biocontact detection sensor which is capable of detecting, in advance, the withdrawal of a medical catheter or the removal of a bandage, a covering material, a skin closure tape, or the like by a patient, and a biocontact detection device using the same, the biocontact detection sensor comprising a sheet-like substrate and a detection unit formed from an electrically conductive material provided on one or both surfaces of the substrate. The detection unit includes a pair or more of wires or electrodes having different polarities, and at least one of current, voltage, and electric resistance of the wires or electrodes changes due to contact with a living body.
