For generations, it has been thought that the simple absorption of oxygen in the lungs is all that is necessary to ensure the biological use of such oxygen. This has been found not to be the case.

■ The oxygen present in ambient air is inert whilst it is associated with the other constituents of air and it remains so when it is taken up in the lungs and absorbed into the body. The current practise of giving supplementary oxygen can be shown to increase biological acidity, which can be harmful because it carries a positive charge. When negative electrons are taken at the same time, they activate the oxygen and neutralise the acidity.

In order to ensure correct cellular respiratory function, it has been found that the oxygen must be activated. Like any other gas, it must be triggered to be so activated and it is triggered electrically. Biological electrical energy is provided by the food we eat and the water we drink. Every particle of the good we eat breaks down to release positive electrical charges ana every molecule of the water we drink splits in the boαy, breaking

the bond between oxygen and hydrogen. When this happens, negatively charged electrons are released to be taken up in the blood plasma, which is the body's electrolytic solution. The haemoglobin, which absorbs the oxygen and circulates in the blood, is amphoteric and has the ability to take up either positive or negative electrical charges. This it will do until the electrical energy level it requ res is reached, then it will cease to take up more. So haemoglobin is either attractive or repulsive and can select either the positive charges from the food we eat or the negative charges from the water we drink, as it desires.

Blood carries the positively charged, oxygenised haemoglobin and the negatively charged electrons are carried in the plasma. The law of natural physics demands that electrons migrate from the plasma to the positively charged haemoglobin when required so to do by the physical demands of the body and, it is this system of electron transfer, which produces the activation of oxygen, which sustains life on this planet.

The instrument has been designed to function as the body functions. It can separately supply oxygen by face mask and electrons by application to the skin, or, if so desired, electrons and oxygen can be applied in unison.

Because the voltage is high, the penetration of electrons is high, they reach every organ in the body. They can be applied to treat the head, the heart, the liver, the

kidneys and the bladder. Improved circulation of the blood to the legs and feet can be instantly achieved by taking oxygen and electrons together. Disease of the intestines and colon can oe treated by the combined therapy. Pain is relieved and correct bowel function restored.

When used separately, the application of electrons can relieve arthritic pain, can instantly terminate an acute choking spasm, rel eve dizziness and stop palpitations of the heart. The range of treatments is unlimited. Drugs are eliminated and side effects avoided.

It appears that many currently so called incurable diseases may be caused by either oxygen lack or the inability to activate oxygen, demonstrat ng a lack of electrons. Tissue which has suffered a burn, provides an excellent example of tissue which cannot activate oxygen. This is the reason why burns are so difficult to heal.

It is an object of the present invention to provide apparatus which assists in the activation of oxygen by the taking up of an electron at cellular level.

Accordingly, the present invention provides means for supplying oxygen by mouth to a patient in combination with means for simultaneously applying an electric charge to the skin of the patient. Preferably, the means for supplyinq oxygen comprises means for separating oxygen from the remaining constituents of ambient air.

Preferably, the means for applying an electric charge

to the skin of the patient comprises a high output, impedance voltage source having a negative potential. Preferably, such voltage source includes means to limit the current output thereof to a value which is safe for the patient.

In order to promote a fuller understanding of the above and other aspects of the present invention, an embodiment will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:- Figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of an embodiment of the invention, and

Figure 2 shows a schematic diagram of a preferred oxygen source for use in the embodiment of Figure 1.

The embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 1 comprises a high impedance, high voltage source (10) to provide a source of electrons for supply to the skin of a patient. The voltage of the source (10) may be variable, over a range of from 10 volts or less, to 10,000 volts or more. A proposed voltage which has been found useful is 2,000 volts. A manual probe (11) having an insulating handle (12) and an electrode (13) is coupled to the voltage source (10) by means of an insulated lead (14) of suitable length. The probe (13) is preferably chromium plated. In association with the voltage source (10), an oxygen source (15) is provided coupled by a flexible pipe (16) to a face mask (17) by which oxygen may be administered or relayed to a patient being treated.

Figure 2 shows a preferred embodiment of an oxygen

source (15) which is arranged to concentrate oxygen from ambient air by filtering out the remaining constituents. The source shown in Figure 2 comprises in series, a particle filter (18) arranged to receive air from the atmosphere, a bacterial filter (19), a pump (20) to drive the air through the system, one or more molecular sieves (21) arranged in parallel if there is more than one, a reservo r (22) for concentrated oxygen, an output flow meter (23) coupled to the face mask (17) by the flexible pipe (16).

The molecular sieve or sieves (21) are designed to remove particularly nitrogen from the ambient air, resulting in concentration of the oxygen which accumulates in the reservoir (22). A conventional humidifier (not shown) may be provided in the flow path to humidify the oxygen leaving the source.

In use, the face mask is applied to the patient so that he or she can breath the oxygen from the source (15), while the probe (13) is applied to the skin simultaneously, to supply electrons to the patient for the purpose of activating the oxygen breathed in, thus enabling it to promote cellular respiration. It has been found that supplementary oxygen given by mouth with the simultaneous supply of electrons to the skin in this manner, improves healing beyond expectation. This has been found particularly efficacious in the healing of burns, but other a lments of the internal organs of the body, such as the intestines, the bladder and the heart, may be treated in

this manner, in some cases, eliminating surgery and or the use of drugs.

The apparatus is provided in two parts because it is essential to treat the patient simultaneously in the two aspects. The body does not breathe in activated oxygen. The electrons must be applied to the patient at the same time as the oxygen is breathed in, because the electronic action is simultaneous. Electrons cannot remain free in the atmosphere, as they are taken up by the ambient gases in the merest fraction of a second.

The uptake of electrons occurs at cellular level. Oxygen must remain inert during its absorption in the lungs of the patient and during circulation in the body of the patient and the electrons can only be applied by direct contact of the electrode (13) to the skin. It is therefore important to administer oxygen by means of a tube supplied to the face mask and to administer the electrons through a suitably insulated, high tension cable such as that shown at (14), terminating in the electrode (13) which is applied to the skin.

In an alternative arrangement not shown, the oxygen source (15) may be in the form of a conventional cylinder of oxygen stored under pressure.
