Abstract:
Provided is a biometric authentication device comprising: an infrared light emission unit for emitting light including infrared wavelengths for quickly and easily performing vein authentication; a depth sensing unit for receiving light emitted by the infrared light emission unit and reflected from a vein of an object, acquiring a vein image from the received light, and calculating a distance value of the object; and a storage unit for storing, as registration information, a calculated distance value and a vein image acquired from the depth sensing unit, wherein the registration information includes the vein image and a distance value of a first object, which is acquired or calculated according to a plurality of distances.
