Abstract:

This biopsy device (1) comprises a hollow needle (2), a wire (3) that is disposed inside the needle (2) in the longitudinal direction of the needle (2) and provided with a helical drill body (6) at the distal end, and a rotation mechanism (10, 11, 12) that moves the drill body (6) in the longitudinal direction, said drill body (6) protruding from the distal end (2a) of the needle (2) and rotating around the longitudinal axis of the wire (3). The drill body (6) has a preset pitch in the longitudinal direction. The rotation mechanism (10, 11, 12) moves the rotating drill body (6) in the longitudinal direction with a lead equal to the preset pitch.
