Abstract:
The present invention provides a biosensor electrode manufacturing method and a biosensor electrode. The biosensor electrode manufacturing method comprises the steps of: a) preparing an electrode base having nanostructures formed on the surface thereof so as to constitute a pattern, each nanostructure comprising a column portion formed to stand upright and a protrusion portion formed on the outer periphery of the column portion so as to protrude in a radial shape; b) oxidizing the surface of the prepared electrode base by plasma; and c) forming a plating film on the electrode base. The biosensor electrode manufacturing method comprises a step of stretching the cured electrode base so as to form cracks on the surface of the electrode base and on the nanostructures. Accordingly, the nanostructures comprise multiple column portions formed on the surface of the electrode base so as to stand upright and protrusion portions formed to protrude from the outer peripheries of the column portions in radial shapes, respectively, such that a pattern is formed on the surface of the electrode. Cracks are formed by stretching applied in the horizontal direction. As a result, the biosensor electrode has a larger surface area in which sensing factors are attached than a conventional planar electrode, thereby substantially improving the sensitivity thereof compared with that of the conventional planar electrode.
