Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a bipolar secondary battery which is suppressed in flowing of a short-circuit current through the secondary battery via a collector plate in cases where a conductor has penetrated an outer case.
[Solution] A bipolar secondary battery which comprises: a power generation element 10 that is obtained by laminating unit power generation elements 14b, in each of which bipolar electrodes 14a are laminated, with separators 15 being interposed therebetween; and collector plates 16, 17 that are arranged on both ends of the power generation element 10 in the lamination direction of the unit power generation elements 14b so as to be in contact with the power generation element 10. This bipolar secondary battery is configured such that: each of the collector plates 16, 17 is obtained by forming a conductive layer 31 on a resin film 30 that has a thermal shrinkage rate of 2% or more at 150°C; and the thermal shrinkage initiation temperature of the separators 15 is higher than the thermal shrinkage initiation temperature of the resin film 30.
