Abstract:

The main joint body (1) with a bite-type pipe connection structure is provided with a female thread pipe part (13) that extends from the base part (11) and a hollow protrusion (14) that extends from the base part (11) and is disposed inside the female thread tube part (13). On the end of the protrusion (14), a cam surface (19) that contacts a tapered surface (33) of a ferrule (3) is formed. A clearance (15) is provided between the female thread tube part (13) and the protrusion (14). The main joint body (1) is configured to satisfy two equations. S1/S2 ≥ 0.5 S1/D1 ≥ 0.5 (S1 is the dimension of the clearance (15) along the central axis of the main joint body (1). S2 is the dimension between the two ends of the cam surface (19) along the central axis of the main joint body (1). D1 is the maximum thickness of the protrusion (14).)
