The present invention makes it possible to perform cutting work for band-shaped material (31) simply and form blades precisely. A blade cutting device is provided with: a material accommodating unit (32) provided with a plurality of accommodating chambers (R1 - R10) for accommodating band-shaped material (31) for forming blades by type; a band-shaped material processing unit (33) provided with a transport unit for transporting band-shaped material (31) pulled out of a prescribed accommodating chamber and a cutting unit (55) for cutting the band-shaped material (31) to a prescribed length and forming blades; and a control unit for moving the material accommodating unit (32) and positioning the prescribed accommodating chamber of the material accommodating unit (32) in a position facing the band-shaped material processing unit (33). The prescribed accommodating chamber is positioned facing the band-shaped material processing unit (33), and band-shaped material (31) pulled from the prescribed accommodating chamber is cut to the prescribed length and formed into blades. Thus, it is possible to perform work for selecting the band-shaped material (31) simply and form blades precisely.
