Abstract:
A blood collection instrument which can extract a blood sample in stages and which can suppress the blood sample from being unintentionally discharged, and a blood test kit are provided. This blood collection instrument, which is used in a blood test kit, comprises: an outer tube in which a leading end opening and a base end opening are defined and which has a blood sample reservoir that communicates with the leading end opening; a rod member which can move inside the outer tube in the axial direction and which, with movement from the leading end opening to the base end opening, guides a blood sample from the leading end opening to the blood sample reservoir; and a movement adjustment mechanism which enables stepwise movement of the rod member from the leading end opening towards the base end opening and which restricts movement of the rod member from the base end opening towards the leading end opening.
