Abstract:
This blood vessel recognition device is provided with: an image input unit that is connected to an imaging device for capturing an image of an operation field and that inputs a captured image of the operation field from the imaging device; an image processing unit that recognizes a blood vessel reflected in the captured image on the basis of the inputted captured image; and an image output unit that generates a composite image obtained by superimposing, onto the captured image, information for teaching about the recognized blood vessel and that outputs the generated composite image to a monitor.
