Abstract:
This on-board relay apparatus is mounted on a vehicle and connected to a plurality of on-board devices to relay communication between the plurality of on-board devices, the on-board relay apparatus comprising a first processing unit and a second processing unit each having processing capability related to relaying of communication. The first processing unit is configured to perform processing related to relaying of communication with a first on-board device among the plurality of on-board devices that performs communication using a first communication protocol. The second processing unit is configured to, when a second on-board device that performs communication using a second communication protocol different from the first communication protocol is connected to the on-board relay apparatus, perform processing related to relaying of communication with the second on-board device. The first processing unit outputs a signal relating to activation of shut-down of the second processing unit depending on the presence or absence of connection of the second on-board device in the on-board relay apparatus.
