Abstract:
A bobbin-changing apparatus includes a moving mechanism (20) for reciprocally moving a bobbin-holding device (10) between a sewing machine hook (6) and a bobbin stock portion (8), the bobbin holding device holding a bobbin case (B) at the tip of a chuck portion (11). A first cam plate (31) is provided near one end of the moving mechanism (20), and a second cam plate (41) is provided near the other end. In the process of the movement of the bobbin-holding device (10), the first cam plate (31) causes the chuck portion (11) to face the hook (6), and the second cam plate (41) causes the chuck portion (11) to face the bobbin stock portion (8). The cam plates (31, 41) are individually detachable from the moving mechanism (20). During the transportation of the sewing machine, one of the cam plates belongs to a main body sewing base, and the other, to extension sewing base. The bobbin-holding device (10) includes a moving body portion (13), the chuck portion (11), and a spring member (19) for urging the chuck portion so as to direct it to a predetermined neutral position in a normal state.
