Abstract:
A body frame for a two-wheeled motor vehicle is provided with: a main frame formed in a hollow cylindrical shape and extending rearward and downward behind a head pipe; and a down frame formed in a hollow cylindrical shape and extending rearward and downward below the main frame so as to support the front part of an engine body. A head pipe support section (22a) directly joined to the rear part of the head pipe (10) and protruding rearward from the head pipe (10) is provided at the front end of the down frame (22). An engine support section (22b) for supporting the front part of the engine body (14) is provided at the rear end of the down frame (22). The front end of the main frame (21) formed as a separate member from the down frame (22) is welded to the head pipe support section (22a) of the down frame (22). As a result, a step for correcting the positions of the head pipe support section and the engine support section is not required to improve manufacturing efficiency and manufacturing quality, thereby enabling a reduction in manufacturing cost.
