Abstract:
This body height estimation method comprises: an image acquisition step of acquiring a captured image of a person and an object; a skeleton extraction step of extracting the skeleton position of the person in the image; a determination step of determining the pose pattern of the person on a basis of the positional relationship between the parts of the skeleton; and an estimation step of estimating the actual body height of the person on a basis of the body height of the person in the image and a corrected value obtained by curve approximation or linear approximation that is used depending upon curving characteristics of the skeleton, the curving characteristics corresponding to the pattern.
