Abstract:
A body lower structure for an automotive vehicle according to the present invention comprises specific constituent members including a side sill 1, wherein: the side sill 1 has a structure in which a closed cross-sectional space 3 is partitioned into two closed cross-sectional spaces 3a, 3b in the vehicle width direction by a partition member 2; and, within the closed cross-sectional spaces 3a, 3b, the side sill furthermore has an impact-absorbing structural body A joined to the partition member 2 such that the partition member 2 is sandwiched from both sides, the impact-absorbing structural body A being configured from a pair of cross-sectional channel-shaped members 4a, 4b for forming respective closed cross-sectional spaces 5a, 5b together with the partition member 2, and bulkheads 6 that are provided in the closed cross-sectional spaces 5a, 5b along the vehicle width direction to thereby partition the closed cross-sectional spaces 5a, 5b. The bulkheads 6 in the closed cross-sectional spaces 5a, 5b are provided under prescribed arrangement conditions and are joined to at least the cross-sectional channel-shaped members 4a, 4b.
