Abstract:
A bookend (10) that is formed from a single piece of sheet metal (12) that is folded into a base (20) f an upright (22), and a brace (23) that has a free end (48). The single piece of sheet metal (12) has a pair of edges and a fold line (18). The fold line (18) and one edge (16) form the base (20) therebetween and the fold line (18) and the other edge (16) form the upright (22) therebetween. The upright (22) is maintained upright relative to the base (20) by the brace (23). The base is divided into an outer base (24) and an inner base (26). The inner base (26) is i cut out of the outer base (24) and is coplanar therewith when' folded outwardly therefrom. The upright (22) is maintained vertical relative to the base (20) when the brace (23) is folded diagonally outwardly from the upright (22) and the free end (48) of the brace (23) is affixed to the inner base (26).
