Title:
BOOSTED INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE COMPRISING AN INJECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/108767
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Previously known internal combustion engines feature boosting of the suctioned fresh air as well as an injection device. The invention relates to an internal combustion engine comprising a mechanical boosting device and a duct-type injection device. The intake valves (10, 11) are in the closed position when the fuel jets (23, 24) hit, and the injected fuel moistens at least the surfaces (26, 27) of the intake valves (10, 11) facing the intake duct (1). The inventive internal combustion engine is preferably embodied as a spark-ignition engine for passenger cars.
