Abstract:
Provided are a boric acid derivative modified binder and a lithium-ion battery including same. The surfaces of emulsion colloidal particles of the binder are rich in boric acid groups (-B(OH)2). When applied to a battery electrode plate, the boric acid groups can be subjected to a dehydration condensation reaction with -OH in a dispersant of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, or with -OH in a functional monomer during the drying of the electrode plate to form a three-dimensional network, such that the binding force is increased and the peeling strength of the electrode plate is greatly improved. The binder can also significantly improve the cycling performance of a lithium-ion battery, such that the cycle life of the lithium-ion battery is prolonged; compared with a conventional binder, a lithium-ion battery using the binder of the present application has a higher cycle capacity retention rate, and the expansion rate of the cycled lithium-ion battery is lower, such that the expansion rate of the lithium-ion battery after long-term use can be significantly inhibited, and the low-temperature performance of the lithium-ion battery using the binder of the present application is also significantly improved.
