Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a compound that has high thermal stability, that has a principal absorption band in the near-infrared light range of 900 nm and above which can easily be used in organic electronic devices and the like, and that also shows high photoelectric conversion properties in the wavelength range of 1,000 nm and above; an organic thin film; and a photoelectric conversion element. This compound is represented by formula (1) (In the formula (1), each of R1 through R4 independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl base, an aromatic hydrocarbon group, a heterocyclic group, or a halogen atom. m represents an integer from 1 to 3. A represents a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring.).
