Abstract:
Provided is a bow structure of which an outer shell member of a bulbous bow is formed from a steel plate which is provided with a curvature by subjecting the said steel plate to a linear heating process at a maximum surface temperature of 600 °C or more on the heated side. Before the linear heating process, the steel plate has a yield strength of 120 MPa to 220 MPa at room temperature and a yield strength at 600 °C of not more than 0.6 times the yield strength at room temperature.
