Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to obtain a box-shaped building unit by joining cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels to each other with ease. The orthogonal portions of the faces of the cuboid have a structure wherein an end face 11s of a CLT panel 11 abuts an inner main face 10i of a CLT panel 10 and is joined to same with a joining member 2 so that an end face 10s of the CLT panel 10 and an outer main face 11o of the CLT panel 11 are flush. The joint formed by a joining member 2 is structured such that: an opening is formed in the CLT panel 10 in the end face 10s, the inner main face 10i, and an outer main face 10o so that the opening is wider on the outer main face 10o side than on the inner main face 10i side; an opening is formed in the CLT panel 11 in the end face 11s and at least the outer main face 11o so that the opening is wider on the CLT panel 11 interior side than on the end face 11s side; and a butterfly spline shaped joining member 2 is inserted into the CLT panel 10 opening and the CLT panel 11 opening from the end face 10s side of the CLT panel 10 and the outside main face 11o side of the CLT panel 11.
