Abstract:
The present invention relates to a brake control device which is applied to a vehicle comprising, for example, a hydraulic brake device that presses, by means of hydraulic pressure, a braking member toward a member to be braked that rotates integrally with a wheel to generate a hydraulic braking force and an electric brake device that presses the braking member toward the member to be braked, by driving a motor, to generate an electric braking force. The brake control device is provided with a control unit that controls the electric brake device. If predetermined conditions are satisfied, the control unit performs positional control to drive the motor and move a propeller shaft, which transmits the driving force of the motor to the braking member, further toward the member-to-be-braked side than when the predetermined conditions are not satisfied.
