Abstract:
A brake device is configured in such a manner that a pressing means presses a movable section in the direction in which a friction member comes into contact with a rotating body. A braking force release means displaces the movable section in the direction in which the friction member moves away from the rotating body against the action of the pressing means. A damping member which consists of a flexible material is installed between a stationary section and the movable section. A deformation means deforms the damping member by pressing the damping member in the direction intersecting the direction of displacement of the movable section.
