Abstract:
This brake device for vehicles comprises: a master cylinder device 2; master cut valves 41, 42; an electric cylinder 5 that is connected to a portion between the master cut valves 41, 42 and wheel cylinders 81-84 in fluid paths 61, 62, and is configured to be capable of supplying fluid by sliding a piston 53 in a cylinder 51; a master cut valve control unit 911 that closes the master cut valves 41, 42 when a brake operation is started; and an electric cylinder control unit 912 that, in a state in which the master cut valves 41, 42 are opened to provide communication between a reservoir 26 and the electric cylinder 5, advances the piston 53 of the electric cylinder 5 by only a predetermined amount regardless of the brake operation.
