Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of obtaining a brake control device that can assuredly decelerate and stop a vehicle during a failure of the brake control devices, has a simplified system configuration, and exhibits high reliability for use in automated driving. A brake device 101 according to the present invention comprises a first unit 102p, a second unit 102s, and a connection pipe 119. A first hydraulic unit includes a first cutoff valve 104p, a first pressure regulation part 105p, and a first control part 106p, while a second hydraulic unit includes a second cutoff valve 104s, a second pressure regulation part 105s, and a second control part 106s. This brake device is further provided with: a third pressure regulation unit 120p and a fourth pressure regulation unit 120s that regulate brake fluid pressures supplied from the first pressure regulation part 105p and the second pressure regulation part 105s to a plurality of first wheel cylinders 118a, 118d and a plurality of second wheel cylinders 118b, 118c, respectively; and third control parts 130p, 130s that control said pressure regulation parts.
