Title:
BRAKE RELEASE MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/161807
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a brake release mechanism which can reduce the labour required for break release operations. The brake release mechanism is provided with a fixed lever (15) and a movable lever (13), which is provided so as to be capable of relative rotation, and a plurality of rolling elements (17) which are disposed between the levers. A plurality of support holes (19) are formed on one surface (13a) among the pair of lever surfaces which face one another, and a plurality of elongated holes (21), which extend in an arc so that the rolling elements can move whilst rolling, are formed on the other surface (15a). Each of the elongated holes are formed such that when the rolling elements have moved along the elongated holes the depth of the rolling elements which is accommodated changes. The intervals in the relative rotation axial direction of both levers alter according to the relative rotation of the levers. The brake release mechanism is further provided with a release bolt (43) which restricts the position of the movable lever in the relative rotation axial direction, without restricting the position of the fixed lever in the relative rotation axial direction. By rotating the movable lever, the fixed lever imparts moving force on the rolling elements in the relative rotation axial direction, and the brakes are released.
