Title:
BRAKE SYSTEM BY SEE-SAW MOVEMENT FOR IN-LINE ROLLER SKATE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/054553
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The function of braking an in-line skate is performed by pivotally mounted wheel frames (18, 20) which are divided and move in a see-saw, or rocking, type of movement. The see-saw movement of wheel frames (18, 20), or main frame (16), induces a resistance between the wheels (22) and brake pads (40) which are located at the front and rear ends of the main frame (16).

Description

Background of invention

This invention provide speed reduction of all directions for in-linfe roller skate.

Background of invention — prior art

It is difficult to reduce speed in-line skate. Specially when they ride sideways or backward, speed reduction is more difficult. They just 1 WaIt to stop, or push cars or peoples to stop.

Detailed description of the invention

Main frame is made with hard plastic. Front-end and rear-end of the main framg have rubber-made brake pads40. Said brake pad contain nut38. Screw34 is fixed in main frame by screw retain washer36.

Main frame have horizontal grooves 15 from end of front brake to begin of rear brake for holding and supporting two pair of wheel frames 18,20. Main frame is attached to boot by rivets 17. The main frame and two pairs of wheel frames are connected by truncated nuts24 and screws25. wheel frames are two pairs of vertical aluminum panels for front side and rear side.

Each wheel frame have two bearing loaded wheels22 which installed with truncated nuts26 and scews27. Spring30 which attached at both side of center of the mainframe are connected to upper center of wheel frames.

Operation of the invention

In order to reduce speed, move your right or left foot approximately one foot to forward and sideways for body balance, then lift up toe of front-foot and heel of rear-foot simultaneously, thus front and rear brake pads are press to the corresponding wheel by see-saw movement of mainframe or wheel frame. If you lift toe or heel hard, press force is bigger. When you ride forward, backward or sideways, lift up toe and heel or toe and toe or heel and heel, brake action. is performed.
