Abstract:
A position detection device (20) comprises at least four sensors (21 to 24) which output a signal according to the operation amount of a brake pedal (12). Output signals from at least two sensors are input in a distinguishable manner into a first ECU (31). Output signals from at least two other sensors, excluding the sensors the output signals of which are input into the first ECU (31), are input in a distinguishable manner into a second ECU (32). A signal transmission unit (33) is capable of transmitting, in a distinguishable manner, the output signals of the at least two sensors which were input into one of the first ECU (31) and the second ECU (32), into the other one of the first ECU (31) and the second ECU (32). The first ECU (31) and the second ECU (32) identify an output signal indicating an anomalous value on the basis of the output signals from the at least four sensors (21 to 24), detect the operation amount of the brake pedal (12) on the basis of a plurality of output signals excluding the anomalous value, and control driving of a brake circuit (40).
